The AWG Employee Experience
For candidates, the process is structured to create better outcomes. It starts with a phone interview to review employment status and work history. If the minimum qualifications are met, the next step is a Finalize Hire meeting with AWG’s recruitment team. This step helps confirm punctuality, presentation, and alignment with AWG’s core values. It also includes onboarding documents, testing, and I-9 verification.
After hire into the AWG availability pool, reference checks are completed. When candidate expectations and client needs align, contingent offers are made. Some roles also include client interviews.
If accepted, drug screens or background checks are completed when required. Employees also review an assignment checklist so expectations are clear before day one.
Once the assignment begins, AWG stays involved. We make first-day safety calls, confirm proper safety training and PPE, provide weekly pay, and continue follow-up throughout the assignment.
The AWG Client Experience
For businesses, the process is designed to create clarity from the start.
It begins with an AWG Staffing Agreement, followed by a job order and site safety review. From there, AWG’s recruitment team works to match the needs of the client with the right employee. This includes presenting candidates, coordinating interviews when needed, and helping both sides move through the decision process. Once the assignment begins, AWG makes first-day placement calls to confirm the employee arrived and meets expectations. We continue with weekly billing for hours worked and ongoing quality control calls to support performance, communication, and results.
Staffing Options Through AWG
Temp and Temp-to-Hire
This option works well for companies hiring general labor, skilled labor, and administrative positions. The employee works through AWG for a set number of contracted hours. After those hours are complete, the employee rolls over to the client at no additional charge. This gives the company time to train, evaluate skills, and assess fit over an approximate three-month period.
Direct Hire
This option works well for executive-level roles or companies operating under strict union contracts. Direct hire fees are paid up front, and the employee is hired directly onto the company team.
